How It Works
Three pillars. One app. Depth when you want it.
Visual Word Bible organizes everything around three ways to meet Scripture — each built to work with the others, and all designed to grow with you from your first verse to your deepest question.
1. Watch & Listen
Scripture unfolds verse by verse in real time, spoken aloud at the pace you choose. This is not pre-rendered video — the text is composed live and narrated as you go, so every setting is yours: translation, typeface, size, theme, and the pause between verses.
- Full-screen mode — one verse at a time, centered and unhurried, with optional verse numbers in printed-Bible style.
- With study text — Scripture on one side and study notes on the other, synced as narration moves through the passage.
- Your pace — from contemplative to brisk; narration follows the rhythm you set.
- Three translations at launch — Visual Word Bible (VWB), the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), and the King James Version (KJV).
- Offline playback — verse narrations download and cache ahead, so you can listen without a connection.
Watch & Listen is for the commute, the quiet room, and the moment you want the Word in your ears while it stays in view.
2. Read & Study
The reading experience stays clean: one verse per line, filtered by language, translation, book, and chapter. Highlight in soft pastels, tag passages your way, and write notes inline or in the margin. When you are ready to go deeper, study tools are one tap away — never in the way of simply reading.
- Tap any word for the original Hebrew or Greek — parsing, lexicon entry, pronunciation, and every place it appears in Scripture.
- Maps and places — see journeys, regions, and the world behind the text tied to the passage you are reading.
- Cross-references — Old Testament and New Testament connections drawn out across the canon.
- Search — by reference, by keyword, and by the color tags you create.
- Study Mode — turn on deeper layers when you want them; turn them off when you do not.
Read & Study is where daily reading becomes lasting understanding — notes, marks, and connections that build over months and years.
3. Additional Resources
Beyond reading and listening, Visual Word Bible brings together resources that keep Scripture in your life between study sessions — all accessible inside the same app, with offline playback for audio content.
- Resonate the Word — Scripture set to music, for worship and memorization.
- Word in Focus — a podcast built on a single Hebrew or Greek word each episode.
- Daily Prayer — one prayer for every day of the year, gathered by theme and need.
- The Thread — follow a theme across the whole Bible with a living map of cross-references.
- Atlas & Timeline — interactive maps, journeys, and zoomable history tied to the text.
- Guided Journeys — structured studies that carry you step by step through a book or theme.
Progressive depth
The same screen serves three audiences. You set how deep you want to go — everything else stays one calm tap away.
- Seeker — clean text, plain-language help, and gentle context. Nothing to figure out before you can begin.
- Student — highlights, tags, cross-references, and the history behind a passage. Study that accumulates over time.
- Scholar — full morphology, complete lexicon entries, and exhaustive detail. Everything available; nothing hidden.
You do not switch apps as your questions deepen. You adjust depth — and Visual Word Bible meets you there.
How the pillars connect
The three pillars are not separate products. Watch the same passage you were reading. Open a word study from a verse you just heard narrated. Follow a Thread theme into a Guided Journey. Download a Resonate the Word track for a verse you highlighted yesterday. Visual Word Bible is one environment where sight, sound, and study reinforce each other.
Platforms and availability
Visual Word Bible is coming soon to Web, Apple, and Android. English launches first, with Spanish and additional languages planned. Pricing will be announced before launch.
Personal subscriptions are for private use. Churches and organizations that wish to use Visual Word Bible in public or group settings need a separate license — contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Public Use Licensing."
