Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SeriousPixel, LLC ("SeriousPixel," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with Visual Word Bible — including our website at www.visualwordbible.com (the "Site"), our mobile and web applications (the "App"), and related products and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who we are

Visual Word Bible is developed and operated by SeriousPixel, LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company.

SeriousPixel, LLC
P.O. Box 95
Spring Hill, TN 37174
United States

2. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Site, the App, customer support, email communications, and other channels where this policy is posted or linked. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or content that we do not control, even if linked from the Services.

Some features described on the Site may not yet be available. When new features launch, we may collect additional information as described here or in a supplemental notice.

3. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories, depending on how you use the Services:

3.1 Information you provide to us

  • Account and profile information — such as name, email address, username, password, and preferences you set in the App.
  • User content — such as notes, highlights, tags, bookmarks, reading history, study settings, and other content you create or store in the Services.
  • Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support, feedback, or other inquiries.
  • Payment information — if you purchase a subscription or other paid feature, payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers; we may receive limited billing details such as transaction status, subscription type, and partial card information.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information — such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, app version, language settings, pages or screens viewed, features used, crash logs, and performance data.
  • Approximate location — derived from IP address or device settings, where permitted.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 below.

3.3 Information from third parties

  • App store platforms — Apple, Google, and other distribution partners may provide us with purchase confirmations, subscription status, and related account identifiers.
  • Authentication providers — if you sign in through a third party, we may receive information permitted by your settings with that provider.
  • Analytics and service providers — we may receive aggregated or technical information from vendors that help us operate the Services.

4. How we use information

We use information for purposes including:

  • Providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the Services;
  • Creating and managing accounts and syncing your content across devices;
  • Processing subscriptions, purchases, and renewals;
  • Delivering audio narration, music, podcasts, and other media, including offline playback where enabled;
  • Personalizing your experience, such as remembering settings, progress, and preferences;
  • Responding to support requests and communicating with you about the Services;
  • Monitoring, detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms and policies;
  • Conducting analytics and research to understand usage and improve the Services;
  • Sending service-related notices; and, where permitted, marketing communications you may opt out of.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers — with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, cloud storage, analytics, customer support, email delivery, payment processing, and content delivery. These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • App store and platform partners — as necessary to distribute the App, process purchases, and manage subscriptions.
  • Legal and safety — if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SeriousPixel, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
  • With your direction or consent — when you choose to share content or connect the Services to another service.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, authenticate users, measure performance, and understand usage.

You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain technologies may limit functionality of the Site or App. Where required by law, we will provide additional choices regarding non-essential cookies or tracking.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and how it is used.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by law or legitimate business needs such as backup, security, or fraud prevention.

8. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to:

  • Access and receive a copy of certain information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete certain information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Port certain information to another service; and
  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sales, or sharing as defined by applicable state privacy laws.

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights permitted by law.

To submit a privacy request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. You may also designate an authorized agent where permitted by law.

10. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

Where we offer family or child-oriented features in the future, we will describe any additional practices and parental controls applicable to those features.

11. International users

SeriousPixel is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to such signals, the Services currently do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice such as within the App or by email. Your continued use of the Services after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
